Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using this website. By visiting any page, running a search, or reading content here, you agree to everything listed below. If you do not accept these conditions, leave the site and do not use it further.

NO FCRA USE. This website is privately owned and run. It has no affiliation with any local, state, or federal government body or court. Neither this site nor any of our advertising partners offer services meant for credit checks, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant evaluation, or any other use covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We exist to help visitors find court dockets and case-record resources in Polk County and Wisconsin. This resource is not a private investigation firm, and we are not a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office or court. This resource does not store official dockets or court records, and we cannot pull dockets, change court dates, or file documents for anyone.

What we do is point you toward the offices that hold Polk County court dockets: the Polk County Clerk of Circuit Court who keeps the docket, the Wisconsin circuit court, and Wisconsin Circuit Court Access (WCCA): and connect you with third-party tools that may help with your research.

2. Informational Use Only

All material is supplied for general informational use. Explanations describe how court dockets and case records generally work in Polk County, but the content here is not a substitute for the official docket, an order of a court, or the advice of an attorney. Begin with it as a reference, then confirm anything that matters with the Polk County Clerk of Circuit Court or the trial court that holds the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. This resource does not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

If you need a background check for any of those purposes, use an FCRA-compliant screening company.

5. No Legal Advice

The material published here does not constitute legal advice. Explanations describe how court dockets generally work in Polk County, but we cannot tell you how a case, charge, order, or filing deadline applies to your situation. For that, talk to a licensed Wisconsin attorney.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Everything on this site is provided "as is." This resource does not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Dockets change constantly: cases are filed, hearings are set, settings get reset, and matters are sealed, dismissed, or amended. We try to keep up, but gaps are unavoidable. Nothing on this site should be treated as an official statement from a court or clerk. Always verify a docket entry or court date with the court that holds the case before you rely on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to clerk of court sites, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. Responsibility does not extend to their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Review the provider’s own terms before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Polk County Court Docket or our content partners. Visitors must not copy, distribute, modify, or build on our content without getting written permission first.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site: including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

These terms fall under the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any legal dispute connected to your use of this site must be filed in courts located within Wisconsin.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.
